Interested in scotch whisky? Especially, single malts? Good, now you can get to know more about the whiskies of Scotland at the Bricklane Grill, in Indiranagar. The folks at BG will host Jamie Walker (no relation to Johnnie, we suppose), a brand ambassador for Diageo, who will hold forth on the different drams of Scotland and the regions that produce them. Walker’s masterclass will include a tasting and appreciation of single malts such as Cardhu (12YO, from Speyside, in Scotland); Singleton (12YO, Speyside); Talisker (10 YO, Isle of Skye) and Oban (14 YO, West Highland). Naturally, all of the whiskies featured in the talk are from distilleries owned by Diageo, but there’s enough and more in there to make for an engaging evening. 6pm to 8pm, July 23, Rs 1500
